PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Drexel swimming and diving team hosted Lehigh in a dual meet that ended in Drexel’s favor, 227-62.
In the 200 medley relay, Alasdair Bell, Kacper Karnik, Jakub Kwasny, and Alessio Gianni teamed up and finished in 1:32.60 to finish first.
Karnik finished first in the 50 and 100 breast with times of 25.68 and 57.15, respectively. Karnik finished first in each of his competitions on the day. Sebastian Smith joined Karnik, also finishing first in each of his races. Smith touched the wall first in the 50 free and 100 free, swimming a 21.05 in the 50 free and 45.76 in the 100 free. Karnik and Smith, along with Jakub Kwasny and John Scully finished first in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:23.58.
Gianni finished first in the 100 back with a time of 51.61. Kwasny touched the wall first in the 100 fly with a time of 49.80. Gianni also finished first in the 100 IM with a time of 53.28.
In the 1000 free, Devin Bauman touched the wall in 9:41.56 to place first in the event.
Jack Patton scored a 259.28 in the 3-meter dive to finish in first place on the diving board.
Up next, the Dragons stay at the DAC on Jan. 7 to host conference rivals, Delaware. The meet also will be Drexel’s Senior Meet. Action is set to kickoff at 10:15 a.m.
